Cannot Download From Play Store

When I try to download anything from the Play Store it shows error 491 and can't finish the download. I have a Samsung Galaxy S 7582. How do I fix this?

Dec 28, 2014  I would like to download Google Play Store as an App on my Surface. This thread is locked. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread.

Go to Settings-Accounts-Google account-Delete or Remove your account

Then go to Settings-Apps-All-Google play storeClear Cache and Clear data

Reboot, Enter your account details again..

You will need to do the following:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Go to Apps
  3. Scroll down to Google Pay Services and open it
  4. Clear data and cache
  5. Do the same thing for the Google Play Store
  6. Restart your phone
  7. Open Google Play Store, let it sync, and you should be able to download whatever app was giving you error 491

Try to go to play store properties page in your phone settings, and delete it's cache there, then reboot your phone, it should ask you to accept again terms of use when you start play store again.

Based on the issue description, it appears that you’re unable to install or update apps from windows store.

Please provide us the answers to the following questions to help you troubleshoot the issue better.

1.What exactly happens when you try to install/update apps?

2.Are you getting any error message?

3.Does the issue occur on all the apps?

4.Were there any recent changes made to the computer prior to the issue?

Method 1: I would suggest you to perform System File to fix the corrupted system file and then check if this fixes the issue.

Follow the steps:

a. Press “Windows Key + C” to open Charms Bar.

b. Type “cmd” without quotes in the search box.

c. On the left pane, right click on the “cmd” option and select “Run as Administrator”.

d. Type ‘sfc /scannow’ without quotes and hit enter.

Method 2: Reset Store Cache

a. Press Windows key + Q.

b. In the Search box type WSReset.exe and hit enter.

That should reset your cache for the store.
