This seems to be a common problem as my problem is the same or ver similar to this one: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-hardware/dual-psx-usb-adapter-wont-detect-my-ps2-controller/e3a72c63-3ce0-469a-90fa-98ca272ceac0
I can't get my PS2 controllers (which I connect via a USB adaptor) to show in the game controller settings (joy.cpl found in system32 folder) and therefore some games such as PES11 don't recognise it. I know all the hardware works as there were no problems when I was using XP indeed the pad works perfectly in Microsoft's very own 'flight simulator X' and I'm sure in many other games. The driver XP provided installed the controllers perfectly so all I really need is the same driver but for Win7
I have tried other drivers but none have worked for this adaptor.
The only other pertinent change I have made since using XP is that I have upgraded to 64bit and I have been told that a driver for a 32bit OS won't work on a 64bit OS. So I couldn't just get the driver I used on XP 32bit and use it on Win764bit.

game controller on console vs game controller on pc I'm thinking of getting a console to have a better gaming experience. I suck at gaming but like to play regardless. I struggled with GTA4 but stuck with it. The problem is I can't drive with a kb/m and can't shoot with a controller (xbox 360) so I use both. My understanding is this is not a... | Gaming

Drivers for a game controller moved to new computer won't register I recently plugged in a gamepad I had used on my old (vista) computer. Windows installed drivers that sort of worked but weren't as functional as my old ones. I copied the gamepad's DLL/instal folder over to this (7) computer and tried to register the dlls. Regsvr32 gave me the error: The module... | Drivers
Game Controller I bought a Steelseries 69000 1G Game Contoller (cheapie) and when I loaded Black Ops it doesn't see the controller. The controller is in the device tree and has a MS driver loaded. Game Controller I build my own joystick, rudder pedals, and throttle controllers. How come at every boot the center points and end points shift around a little? I use DXTweak 2, to set the points and they will not stay consistant. TY | Hardware & Devices |
